Review by Angie Sullivan, high tunnel grower:

This book was written in 2003, but even with it being 6 years old, there is still a vast amount of valuable information available. Hoophouse handbook is a compendium of many articles that have been published in Growing for Market over the years. There are featured farmers from all over the United States who share what they’ve learned about growing food and flowers all year long.

There is a section in the back showing how to construct a hoophouse along with great pictures of the process by Lynn’s husband Dan Nagengast.

Both of the authors mentioned above have several featured articles within this book. I would say Hoophouse Handbook is not as all-encompassing as some books on the subject, but would be a great place to start if you are thinking about growing in a hoophouse or high tunnel.
